INFUSION THERAPIES: ACTEMRA
As one of the top rheumatoid arthritis infusion providers in the United States, Metro Infusion Center works with hundreds of RA patients each year.
OUR BROAD ARRAY OF TREATMENT OPTIONS AND EXPERT KNOWLEDGE HELP US WORK OPTIMALLY WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN TO IDENTIFY, ADMINISTER, FINE-TUNE, AND MANAGE A SPECIFIC INFUSION TREATMENT THAT’S RIGHT FOR YOU.
To this end, Metro Infusion Center offers novel therapies such as ACTEMRA, which can be administered on its own or in tandem with methotrexate or other non-biologic medicines. ACTEMRA works by helping reduce the effects of a substance in the body that can cause inflammation.
Your ACTEMRA infusion will last about an hour and will be administered every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your condition and physician’s prescription. While taking ACTEMRA, you may continue to use other medicines that help treat your rheumatoid arthritis, PJIA, or SJIA such as methotrexate, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and prescription steroids, as instructed by your healthcare provider.
