With physician referrals, Metro Infusion Center can treat your Osteoporosis with Prolia, an infusion delivered twice a year.
Osteoporosis is a disease that weakens bones, increasing the risk of sudden and unexpected fractures. Prolia is the first infused approved biologic bone-loss treatment available to treat patients with Osteoporosis.
PROLIA is a “monoclonal antibody” — a human-derived antibody that inactivates the body’s bone-breakdown mechanism. Introduced in 2010, it is approved only for:
- Postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and a high risk of fracture
- Patients with osteoporosis for whom other osteoporosis treatments have failed
- Patients who cannot tolerate other osteoporosis treatments
