INFUSION THERAPIES: NULOJIX
Nulojix (belatacept) is an anti-rejection powder administered intravenously to adult kidney and pediatric transplant patients.
Nulojix is a type of drug called a selective t-cell costimulation blocker. It helps to prevent organ rejection after a kidney transplant. If your physician has prescribed NULOJIX as part of your transplant recovery regimen, Metro Infusion Center can help.
Without immunosuppression, the body can reject a transplanted organ because the immune system recognizes the new organ as foreign (transplant rejection). Given through 30-minute intravenous infusions, NULOJIX works with other immunosuppressants to prevent rejection and keep the new kidney working.
